About Me
My name is Brad Reynolds. I live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. By trade I'm a software developer and by nature a life long introvert. I have 2 dogs, boxers: Lucy (brindle) and Todd (white).
Drawing and painting are activities I picked up in my spare time. I started out drawing pet portaits in color pencil.
This 8 month old Lucy color pencil drawing was my first complete drawing. I enjoy the medium but it is extremely time consuming. Lucy's drawing took 50 hours to complete. Over time I became more efficient and reduced the time to complete but it still didn't scale, time wise. That much time put the price out of range for friends and family who are and will always be my primary customers.

I then started looking at watercolor as I liked the look, and how varied it can be. I'm the sort of person who digs deep and enjoys constant refinement of a skill. I get bored once I feel like I've figured it out. The challenges of watercolor align with those needs as it's the exact opposite. It's not a skill that can be pursued casually which is attractive to me.
I also love pets. I have expanded the subjects of commissions to extend beyond pet portraits but will continue to paint pet portraits for as long as I can. When I visit someone's house I search out their pets and often spend as much time, if not more, with them than the humans.
